I have a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling, and my career has given me the privilege of working in a variety of roles, including as a school counsellor in a low socio-economic area and as a First Care Practitioner. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to support individuals of all ages and backgrounds, with a focus on neurodiverse children and young people, as well as those facing behavioural challenges. I’ve also worked closely with families, helping to build parenting skills and strengthen family dynamics.
I’m passionate about working together with individuals and the important people in their lives to create positive change. I take a person-centred approach in my practice, and I’ve had the privilege of using trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help people work through their challenges. I’m committed to being respectful and inclusive, ensuring that cultural and traditional values are respected and integrated into the support I offer.
Fun Fact about yourself: I enjoy learning about different cultures and traditions. I am of Maori descent and enjoy being in touch with nature.
